In 1940 Mirza Beg launched a movement “Kashmiri Cuitural Renaissance   for developing Kashmiri into a literary language as he  observed that evanescence of Kashmiri language from the sphere  of Kashmir nevertheless snubbed by the educated elite class at all levels.Subsequently established  a literary Kashmir society under the title of “Bazm-e-Adab” in 1943, producing first ever bilingual Urdu/Kashmiri magazine “Gulrez” in this way laid the foundation stone for cultivating of Kashmiri Language. He had a very strong hold on Arabic and Kashmiri , produced the natural poetry reflecting mysticism. In 1947 associated as general Secretary Kashmir Cultural Front and as co-editor with Mahjoor of “Kong Posh” With  writing career  he produced broadminded poetry included some evocative  poems such as 'Moztren·. 'Baahaj Baal', penned the popular kashmiri song "Ru’m gayam sheeshus Begur gava baa'na myon". He underwent a radical change from spiritualism to socialism. from being an devoted believer into an declared non-believer due to influence of Darwinism having specialization  in the “Theory of Evolution”. In due course Mirza  came out of the academic world of abstraction into the vast arena of grim realities particularly while translating  various books like “Chahal Israr by Mir Syed Ali Hamdani” and with the Kashmiris' struggle for freedom from the feudal lords touched   his soul with the clout of   spirituality. Mirza Ghulam Hassan Beg Arif translated “Rubaaiyat e Omar Khayam” to Kashmiri and along with his friend Prof P N Pushp, translated Constitution of India into  kashmiri  Language. Published various books like  “Baangi Awal”,Ramoz Arif” ,”Rubaayaat Arif” and “Lola Verhar” His reformist philosophies like “Naya Kashmir” influenced the society at large. He is known for his translation of “The holy Quran” into Kashmiri poetry in four editions on 40000 pages,  devoted about 30 years to translate the holy book but could not complete the translation during his life time. The remaining parts were completed by Dr. Abdur Rahman War.He attained the spirituality with a vision, witnessed surprising phenomena, invisible to the naked eye, which he has described in an Urdu book entitled “Maka Shifaat”. Finally he defined  that the spiritual world is more real than the world we see a round us. He passionately believed that when one's ‘inner eye' is able to see things unseen the soul itself becomes visible.
